Woodworking Classes

NOTE: The Craft Center Does Not Offer Classes in the Summer, but we've left the listings up to give you an idea of what will be coming up in Fall of 2024!

The intro classes are designed to get you going on safe use of the big equipment while making a fun project. We also offer specialty classes and wood turning on the lathe.


Students can sign up starting for Spring 2024 classes on April 1st         Staff, Faculty, and Adult Public can sign up starting April 8th

Cutting Boards: Intro to Woodworking with Lillian


Mondays 2:30-5, April 15 - May 20

Fee Paying Student Class Fee: $75

OSU Students Only

Instructor: Lillian McLellan (she/her)

Gain woodworking skills while you learn to safely use the large equipment in the woodshop. You will construct a cutting board that is a beautiful and useful addition to any kitchen. Includes specialty wood.

Intermediate Project: Furniture with Noah

Some prior experience with large wood-working equipment required.

Be guided by a talented & skilled woodworker as you construct a beautiful night stand/small side table. Learn basic furniture and joinery techniques. Materials included.

Beginning Latheworking with Niko

Lathe Turned Pen Workshop

Friday 5:30-8  May 17

Come learn how to use the lathe and leave with your own hand turned pen in this very rewarding workshop. Materials included. These make beautiful handcrafted gifts!
